Great place! Brand new. Clean and gorgeous. The hosts replied quickly to my texts!

I have worked mainly with Tina and Elizabeth. Both are very helpful and super prompt when we had questions. Great customer service for sure. Thank you Ladies for being there for us!

We stayed at Hickory Hill House a couple of times now. The house is large enough for everyone to have some space. We played games and cards in the great room and had warm fires in the pit at night. Would highly recommend this house and will definateley stay there again/ It is around the corner from Lake Junaleska and downtown Waynesville and close to many other places to venture to. Maggie Valley is beautiful also. Our favorite feature was the what I call the great room with all the windows and the patio/gazebo area out back. Thanks again to Tina and Elizabeth and we look forward to staying there in the future!

Elizabeth has been our usual contact since we found Sunburst and it has been a pleasure. Shes wonderful to work with. Shes quick to respond and kind. Ive had nothing short of a perfect experience with all members of the Sunburst team including housekeeping. Everyone goes above and beyond. Ive mainly been dealing with Elizabeth C and once I was in communication with Tina G. Theyre both amazing and very sweet. Communication is always perfect and helpful. Guest services is a 10/10 Ive rented other houses with Sunburst and the quality of host communication and helpfulness is great. The houses are always clean and true to or better than advertised. Sunburst in my experience is a reliable and kind hearted place to rent from.

Wonderful house. Peaceful and beautiful. It has everything you need during the stay to cook and relax. The Beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are nice. There is a very nice sitting area and large dining table, a cute breakfast nook and a tv room. Its my favorite house to book when I want to get away. Favorite Feature: The kitchen. I love to cook and this is the perfect kitchen to make beautiful meals. Its easy to keep clean and you have everything you need at easy access. My stay has been perfect. I have absolutely no complaints. The house was clean, the kitchen was well stocked, the tv room is perfect for relaxing, there is a great collection of games, the beds are extremely comfortable and the overall experience at the house is peaceful. The house is in a beautiful location. Everything was amazing. Were in the middle of a move so we decided to stay somewhere that was peaceful and beautiful while we move into our new house. Knoll top is the perfect place to come back to after a long day to relax and unwind. We travel all the time across the US because Im an artist. We mostly deal with Airbnb but if there are Sunburst locations elsewhere wed rather book through you. A list of some of our regular destinations throughout the year. Those members of the team that I texted and spoke with over the phone were very kind, helpful, and responsive. I appreciate them, providing the pack and play and letting us check in early.

This home was perfect for a large family. It was nice that there were three different king rooms for couples. We did not have 4 wheel drive but were able to get in and out okay (but it was quite steep). Thankfully, there was not snow on the ground when we were traveling. We would definitely return to this property in the future. The views were great and the home is nice. we had everything that we needed overall. Favorite feature: The mountain view from the porch and living room was lovely. The fireplace in the den area was great as well for cold days. We enjoyed the hot tub as well.

We love this house and the setting. Wonderful house on a beautiful lot! Very well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. A great place to relax and recharge. We love listening to the stream and the hike up to the lookout. The trail is a paved road. Quite steep but worth the effort.

The house was perfect for us. The host thought about everything you will need when in Waynesville. I would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a great family vacation

Beautiful and spacious cabin. Private - but easily accessible. Our family of 4 adults and 1 teenager had a wonderful time. There is so much space to spread out in and plenty of room for everyone! Would definitely recommend!

Awesome house, great hot tub, quiet neighborhood.

We had a lovely stay at this property. Our grandkids had never seen snow before and although it did not snow the tubing place is less than a mile away. They got to have snowball fights and play in the snow anyway. :). The house is very conducive to families with kids. We were able to make and have family dinners either ease.

Sunburst has great hosts to rent from. Well definitely book again in the future. Weve booked with them before on a different listing and also had a great experience.

We had everything we needed to feel at home. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of seating for the nights we stayed in and plenty of cookware for the days we cooked instead of eating out. We were very happy with our stay and you will be as well. :)

Best Thanksgiving Vacation with our family. This is a great home away from home. So many extras. Very roomy for a big family like ours! Love love the Christmas tree!! I just cant say enough about how much we enjoyed everything!! You want go wrong with this cabin!

The house is lovely and the views are very nice. A plus is all the switches are labeled so it's easy to find all the lights! It's spacious and has great amenities. Full laundry, very well equipped kitchen and all as described. It is 15 minutes to get down and up the mountain but that's due to the beautiful location and we didn't find it a problem in the slightest. Great Smoky Mountians visitor center is about an hour, Natahala National Forest is about 1 1/2 hours. Waynesville (with all it's shopping and restaurants) is about 20-30 minutes. We loved the quiet and beauty. For our family it was a lovely spot.

Spacious, Cozy Home. My family and I stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday. We chose this home for its accommodations, cozy ambience, and proximity to a relatives home in Waynesville. The check in process was straightforward and the host was great to communicate all details a few days in advance. Before I get into positives, a few downsides of the property. One is the proximity to the busy highway. Its loud when outside both day and night and could be dangerous if you have younger children as a lot of drivers speed up the road from the highway. This was something we understood prior to booking and had no issue with noise when inside the home. Another slight downside is the stairs to get into the home. Thankfully the host keeps the outside well lit, but if you are older or have issues with stairs, this would be a concern with how steep the climb is. Now moving into positives: the proximity to the Lake is wonderful. The house, especially the kitchen, is very well stocked with various kitchen supplies. Plenty of towels and linens. Even though our Thanksgiving dinner was held at our relatives house in town, I could imagine us cooking a full Thanksgiving meal in this home. There is ample room for a large familys stay, with space to entertain indoors and out. The bathrooms and rooms were clean. The mattresses were a bit harder, but still was a comfortable sleep. Foosball table and piano downstairs. Overall, we loved the place and recommend you book your stay today!

Stay was great, very beautiful mountain view, a lot of space and house furnishings very nice.

We had a wonderful stay. Plenty of room for our family of four. The location was perfect - right across from the Rose walk and a short walk to the playground. We enjoyed the view of the sunrise across the lake from the porch. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful mini family vacation here. The view from the porches was absolutely beautiful and the location was extremely convenient. The house was spacious and had what we needed. Again, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The furnishings and bedrooms were decorated nicely and the beds were very comfortable. Also the lighting was stark to us (cool instead of warm). It would be nice to have a choice with warm lighting lamps like the downstairs living area has to make the evenings more cozy. But overall the view is what we came for and Fairview Mountain retreat delivered as promised! Favorite feature, porches with the views!
