Awesome house, great hot tub, quiet neighborhood.

We had a lovely stay at this property. Our grandkids had never seen snow before and although it did not snow the tubing place is less than a mile away. They got to have snowball fights and play in the snow anyway. :). The house is very conducive to families with kids. We were able to make and have family dinners either ease.

Sunburst has great hosts to rent from. Well definitely book again in the future. Weve booked with them before on a different listing and also had a great experience.

We had everything we needed to feel at home. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of seating for the nights we stayed in and plenty of cookware for the days we cooked instead of eating out. We were very happy with our stay and you will be as well. :)

Best Thanksgiving Vacation with our family. This is a great home away from home. So many extras. Very roomy for a big family like ours! Love love the Christmas tree!! I just cant say enough about how much we enjoyed everything!! You want go wrong with this cabin!

The house is exactly where G**gle maps thinks it is (always a plus!). The instructions and hands off nature of the checkin and access make it very easy and flexible. The house is lovely and the views are very nice. A plus is all the switches are labeled so it's easy to find all the lights! It's spacious and has great amenities. Full laundry, very well equipped kitchen and all as described. It is 15 minutes to get down and up the mountain but that's due to the beautiful location and we didn't find it a problem in the slightest. Great Smoky Mountians visitor center is about an hour, Natahala National Forest is about 1 1/2 hours. Waynesville (with all it's shopping and restaurants) is about 20-30 minutes. We loved the quiet and beauty. For our family it was a lovely spot.

Spacious, Cozy Home. My family and I stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday. We chose this home for its accommodations, cozy ambience, and proximity to a relatives home in Waynesville. The check in process was straightforward and the host was great to communicate all details a few days in advance. Before I get into positives, a few downsides of the property. One is the proximity to the busy highway. Its loud when outside both day and night and could be dangerous if you have younger children as a lot of drivers speed up the road from the highway. This was something we understood prior to booking and had no issue with noise when inside the home. Another slight downside is the stairs to get into the home. Thankfully the host keeps the outside well lit, but if you are older or have issues with stairs, this would be a concern with how steep the climb is. Now moving into positives: the proximity to the Lake is wonderful. The house, especially the kitchen, is very well stocked with various kitchen supplies. Plenty of towels and linens. Even though our Thanksgiving dinner was held at our relatives house in town, I could imagine us cooking a full Thanksgiving meal in this home. There is ample room for a large familys stay, with space to entertain indoors and out. The bathrooms and rooms were clean. The mattresses were a bit harder, but still was a comfortable sleep. Foosball table and piano downstairs. Overall, we loved the place and recommend you book your stay today!

Stay was great, very beautiful mountain view, a lot of space and house furnishings very nice.

We had a wonderful stay. Plenty of room for our family of four. The location was perfect - right across from the Rose walk and a short walk to the playground. We enjoyed the view of the sunrise across the lake from the porch. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful mini family vacation here. The view from the porches was absolutely beautiful and the location was extremely convenient. The house was spacious and had what we needed. Again, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The furnishings and bedrooms were decorated nicely and the beds were very comfortable. Also the lighting was stark to us (cool instead of warm). It would be nice to have a choice with warm lighting lamps like the downstairs living area has to make the evenings more cozy. But overall the view is what we came for and Fairview Mountain retreat delivered as promised! Favorite feature, porches with the views!

Great staff to work with, very easy to reserve the house online and all paperwork was timely, detailed and informative. Check-in was very easy with combination locks on the door, didn't have to go to the office pick up keys and then go to the house. It works better for me.

Beautiful Home! Loved the home so much. It was tucked away in a semi private place, which I really enjoyed. The hot tub and the porch were just wonderful during the fall of the year.

This house is in a great location. Easy access to downtown, the highway, and to the Blue Ridge Parkway. We had an issue with the alarm system when we checked in, but Sunburst called us right away and took care of it. The house has been remodeled and was spotless. The outside living space was very nice but it was chilly while we were there so we didn't take advantage of it. There is a pretty view from the kitchen and dining room. We had 4 women in our group and it was perfect. However, if you have a larger group and want to sit together, both the family room and the living room have limited seating. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Airbnb FOUR STAR! Stayed with kids Had a great stay! Close to town. The place was very clean. It is above the owners garage and the owner stays near the apartment. Host was very helpful and responsive! The bedrooms could use blackout curtains for small children that nap. One of the beds mattresses was very hard with less cushion but it could be helpful for people with bad backs. The driveway is steep but we made it up with 2WD. The stay was as described! Check in and check out was super easy!

This mountain cabin is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. The house is very private with no visible neighbors from the house. The views are stunning. It is also very accessible with a paved road leading up the mountain to the cabin. It is also only about 10 minutes from stores and restaurants in Waynesville creating a wonderful balance of privacy while still being a reasonable drive from amenities.

Team was polite and just the right amount of communication, and provided an easy way to reach out if any issues.

We appreciate so much the owners of this property making such a gorgeous and new home available to rent. Stunning home with everything needed and close to town. The decor was just perfect and the home was so clean! Everything you could need was on property. We loved all of the extra details that most rentals don't have! Extra pillows, new blankets, everything needed in the kitchen, games, books, etc. We also loved the porch and fire pit! Thank you for a wonderful fall family vacation!

Such a wonderful place! The view and location are perfect. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. Had a great time. Will be back.
